Nos 15 and 16 became the Blackheath Nurses Home between 1909 and 1927, an important adjunct to the highly-respected Blackheath Institution for Supplying Hospital Trained Nurses, founded in 1888 at No 9 Montpelier Vale, who provided nursing care for those who could afford to pay for private nursing.
