The Drill Hall on the extreme left. Built in 1861 for the 25th Kent (Blackheath) Volunteer Rifles, it was destroyed by a fire in 1951. Used by the Volunteers for many years, it became a a training centre during the Boer War and an ambulance station during WWII.
