Holy Trinity on Blackheath Hill, was built in 1837 and continued to function as a church until 1950, although the building was badly damaged during World War II. The parish served a generally poor population despite being sandwiched between the wealthier residents of the Church of the Ascension, Dartmouth Hill and St Paul's, Devonshire Road.
