Tranquil Vale 1997

The Curry Garden Tandoori operated at No 72 Tranquil Vale from 1970.

From 1879 it was taken by Thomas Mills & Co who specialised in servants' liveries and uniforms.

For a few years it was linked with Carson's Bazaar at No 74 but in 1904 was acquired by Peter Angelinetta, the Italian cafe proprietor at No 64, and he managed his Cafe Como here until the mid 1940s.

It remained a cafe (for many years the Rendezvous Restaurant) until 1970 when it became the Curry Garden.
